Her Story
A Friendship Forged in the Kitchen
I first met Kristi many years ago, in Alaska. We were friends right from the start. We worked together in the restaurant that I had there.
When the recession hit, I lost everything and we were forced to separate. I relocated to Wyoming; she went to Colorado to take care of her ailing grandmother. She went on to culinary school, first in Jackson Hole then in Illinois.
Eventually she joined me in Wyoming, where we worked together. That's when we started work on what would eventually become our restaurant.
The recipes here — some were hers, some were mine — but all of them have become ours. This restaurant is dedicated to Kristi, her memory, and her love.
